How to change tenant ownership

A Stormpath tenant owner is the person who signed up for a new tenant on https://api.stormpath.com or https://enterprise.stormpath.io. You can easily add and remove tenant administrators, but if you'd like to change ownership of the tenant, you'll need to follow the below steps:

  • Change the email address on the tenant owner's account to a new email address. You can do this in the Admin Console or programatically. Please note that the email address you choose to replace the tenant owner's email with can't already exist in your Stormpath Administrators Directory.
  • One option is to delete an existing Administrator, change the current tenant owner's email to the deleted Administrator's email, and then issue a password reset for that account.
